Eddie, VK6YA / VK6ZSE, who as the WA representative of Wireless Institute of Australia National Technical Advisory Committee, or the WIA NTAC is asking for your opinion and comment.

With the advent of new radios like the Icom IC7000, there is now the ability to run Digital Voice, or DV on HF bands.

It has been suggested that we could adopt the following recommended DV frequencies. Eddie would be grateful for any comments, especially if any of the suggested frequencies clashes with other activity.
  • On 6m, 52.220 or 52.230
  • On 10m, 29.480
  • On 12m, 24.970
  • On 15m, 21.380
  • On 17m, 18.148
  • On 20m, 14.280 or 14.319
  • On 40m 7.215
  • On 80m 3.640
If you know of any activities that would interfere, or be affected by the introduction of DV please get in touch with Eddie, VK6ZSE@wia.org.au
