The March edition of the Amateur Radio Magazine is about to arrive in your mailbox. Included within the envelope are the voting papers for the WIA Director elections, and I urge you to use your vote to elect Andrew VK6AS to the Board.
Although Directors are not representative of geographic areas, I believe that it is to our advantage to elect a Western Australian to the Board.
Andrew will be a valuable addition to the WIA Board, taking with him a wealth of executive level experience in corporate, Government and not for profit organizations.
It appears that the voting paper doesn’t have tick boxes as we previously assumed. I’m told that you are asked to cross out those candidates that you wish to not be elected. Just repeating to make sure you got it - you must cross out the names you do not wish to see elected.
So if you wish to only vote for Andrew, you cross out all the other names. I believe that there are eight candidates. Do be careful when you open your Amateur Radio magazine, to make sure you don’t lose the voting papers, which will include envelopes for mailing your vote to the WIA. Read the instructions carefully, and make sure that your vote counts, and let’s see if we can get Andrew elected.
