A document, often claimed as secret, governing the relationship between the Wireless Institute of Australia (WIA) and the Australian Communications Media Authority (ACMA) has been revealed. The 26 page document outlines the responsibilities and expectations of both parties and outlines common terms and meanings.

One gem among the terms is that of the WIA Nominated RTO, which in this agreement means:

WIA Nominated RTO means the Registered Training Organisation registered in accordance with the Australian Quality Training Framework or other like organisation appointed by the WIA to qualify Assessors and Learning Facilitators and generally assist the WIA in the performance of its Statutory Functions;

Clearly Silverdale/Trainsafe the so-called WIA RTO, run by WIA incumbent Director Fred Swainston who is standing for election, does not comply with this as it lost registration in July 2014. It seems that the law only applies to some people inside the WIA.
