This Week
Welcome to the NewsWest broadcast, brought to you by the team at WA Amateur Radio News - thanks for joining us.

It's been a really busy week for the NewsWest team, not without our fair share of QRM.

BREAKING NEWS ... At the beginning of this week the postal ballot closed for the election to the board for the Wireless Institute of Australia. After receiving independent confirmation, the results for the WIA Election can now be released:
  • Justin Giles Clarke - VK7TW
  • Greg Kelly - VK2GPK
  • David Ford - VK5WP
  • Marcus Berglund - VK5WTF
  • Peter Clee - VK8ZZ
  • Phil Wait - VK2ASD
  • and... Brian Clarke - VK2GCE

From WA Amateur Radio News, we'd like wish the successful candidates our best - as the hard work will begin soon.

We'd also like to acknowledge those who nominated but were unsuccessful. It's not an easy job - and for those that will be retiring from their director positions in the not-too-distant future - we really appreciate the effort you have put into promoting and sustaining our hobby.
