NewsWest this week is the New Amateurs Edition, where we congratulate and acknowledge those with new or upgraded callsigns or licenses, and where we share information useful for new Hams, including New Hams the series where I take a look at learning opportunities.

PerthTech planning is going ahead full steam, and in this bulletin we’re calling for Abstracts from potential presenters, support in the form of donations of cash or raffle prizes, promotion within and by clubs, and help on the day. More on those later.

Our regular weekly features of Amateur Radio Helpline and Over the Back fence complete this week’s NewsWest programme.
