NewsWest for Sunday 22nd December 2019 - Contesting and Festive Season Edition

posted Dec 20, 2019, 7:25 PM by Bob Bristow

NewsWest for Sunday 22nd December 2019 looks at contesting, and of course we have also added a festive season flavour to the programme.

We’re only a few days out from Christmas, and a few days into Hanukkah, so before we get on with the news, on behalf of the team here at WA Amateur Radio News, and the NewsWest team, I wish you and your family a very merry Christmas, Chag Urim Sameach and all the very best for the festive season however you celebrate it.

Today we discuss contesting and contests coming up, Paul VK6WZ expresses an opinion about the current callsign format discussion in Australia, Glenn VK4DU, President of the Radio amateur Society of Australia (RASA) talks about the new six metre initiative from RASA, and we have the regular weekly offerings of Roy’s Helpline and Over the Back Fence.
