NewsWest for Sunday 23rd June - Contesting Edition

posted Jun 22, 2019, 1:26 AM by Bob Bristow
The NewsWest broadcast for the 23rd of June is ready to download.  This is the Contesting Edition, brought to you by the team at WA Amateur Radio News.
Glynn, VK6PAW, is our guest producer this week.
In this Contesting News bulletin, there’s a wrap up on the VK Shires and the Harry Angel Sprint, information on the NZART Memorial, the upcoming IARU HF Championship, the Trans Tasman Low Bands Challenge, the ALARA contest, the Remembrance Day Contest, and the International Lighthouse and Lightships Weekend.
Andrew gives us a radio report from his river cruise on the  Danube, which could quickly turn into a bus trip by the sounds of things.  There’s  an announcement from the Radio and Electronics School, and of course, we hear from Roy, who has something for everyone in Roy’s Helpline.
