In this edition of NewsWest we welcome New Amateurs to the hobby, and provide information that will prove useful to newcomers to the hobby, and perhaps useful to those not quite so new to the hobby.

Jeff talks about online resources for Amateurs, and also about how Amateurs can move up to the next license level. Mike discusses the Solar Flux index, and quite timely too, because it’s increased considerably over the last week.

We have news from RASA about their new VK Regs website, I  make some comments about the notice from the ACMA about poor behaviour of some Amateurs, and I continue the New Hams series, and Roy brings the Amateur Radio Helpline.
