Alex VK6EZY has become involved in a heritage railway project, (yes including steam locomotive), which is called Wheatbelt Heritage Rail to operate around Dowerin and the rolling stock is being built largely at the Rail Heritage WA Museum at Bassendean. We need radios to work with Brookfield's voting radio network.

For this project he needs: Motorola GM338 and GM339 mobile radios, both VHF and UHF versions. These are to be used on commercial frequencies as part of a railway heritage project and not Ham radio as such. The only caveat is the radios need to be less than 10 years old as the newer firmware is required. Alex is looking for 6+ units, so if you have multiples you would like to sell as a batch, please be in touch.

Programming cables, spare microphones etc would also be welcome. If someone has experience programming these radios and could spend an hour teaching Alex the tricks, that would be appreciated. Best to contact Alex by email : abseilwa@westnet.com.au

George VK6EV has a couple of items to give away:

  • Icom IC-O2A not working

  • ADMS-277 CD with USB-57B lead.

Please see VK Classifieds for details.
