The Wireless Institute of Australia is the oldest national amateur radio organisation in the world. Since 1910, the WIA have been providing benefits to both members and non-members through their tireless activities.

We certainly wouldn't enjoy the spectrum and licensing system we have now, if it weren't for the WIA's activities with lobbying the government, membership and involvement in the IARU, as well as their management of license exams and assessments.

Other membership benefits include:

  • A monthly high quality magazine delivered to your home, and now also available to members free on line as a pdf if you choose to use it.

  • A WIA email address

  • Free use of the WIA QSL Service

  • Weekly national news service and of course this news brought to you by WA Amateur Radio News Inc. an Affiliated club of the WIA

  • Discount access to the WIA Bookshop, including the Annual Call-book

  • and knowledge that the WIA helps support your local club.
