At 4am on 15th January 2017 Mel Bishop, VK6ER (formerly VK6TVA) succumbed to his cancer and passed away peacefully at his home and was surrounded by family. Mel, passed away after a 2+ year battle with Cancer. Mel died peacefully surrounded by loving family members.Mel's Funeral will take place on this Thursday morning the 19th of January 2017 at 9am. It shall be held at Bowra & O'Dea Chapel, 502 Wanneroo Rd, Westminister. Everyone who knew Mel is welcome to attend. There will be an open casket where people can pay their respects from 09:00 to 09:30. The casket will then be sealed for the funeral service, this is so no one will be stressed during the service. Following the service there will be refreshments and a chance to meet family members and such like. At 11:20 or shortly after Mel shall be moved from the chapel to a waiting hearse and leave to Pinnaroo cemetery for a private family ceremony.
