Dear Candidate,

Thank you for choosing to nominate to stand for the board of the Wireless Institute of Australia. On behalf of the VK6 NewsWest team I would like to offer you a 5 minute soapbox in our news broadcast which is heard across the country and has listeners in 81 countries.

There are no restrictions - other than those associated with content suitable for on-air use on Amateur Radio frequencies - but we recommend that you use the opportunity to speak to why your candidacy will benefit the Institute and Amateur Radio in Australia.

This invitation has been extended to all candidates.

From a technical perspective:

• 5 minutes max. We'll clip your audio at 5 minutes if it's longer.

• 44 kHz sample rate.

• 256 kbit mono audio

• MP3

• We use and recommend audacity to record and edit audio.
