20170304 - RAOTC reminder

Post date: Mar 4, 2017 7:07:59 AM

Hallo everyone, this is Clive VK6CSW. Just in case you missed it in the National bulletin, tomorrow is the first Monday of the month and as I’m sure you all know by now that’s when the Radio Amateurs Old Timers Club of Australia’s monthly bulletin goes to air.

This month, apart from the usual RAOTC news, we have Part 1 of the story of Broadcasting in Australia, with Parts 2 and 3 scheduled for the April and May bulletins. We also have another potted biography of someone who contributed to the early development of wireless, plus another item entitled the Future is Light.

The bulletin will commence at 10 am local time on all linked NewsWest repeaters and simultaneously on 40 metres on 7088 kHz LSB transmitted by Chris VK6JI.

Everyone, RAOTC members and non-members alike, is most welcome to tune in tomorrow and to join in the call backs afterwards. Remember, too, that even if tomorrow’s time is unsuitable for you, the programme can still be heard on the 2 metre information beacon VK6RIB on 145.575 MHz starting on each odd-numbered hour, and as from Tuesday morning the audio file can be downloaded from the RAOTC website at www.raotc.org.au.

Also next Sunday, March 13th, the program will be repeated after the WIA News on 160, 80 and 40 metres.

So, just repeating, tune in tomorrow morning to any linked NewsWest repeater, or 7088 KHz on 40 metres at 10 am to hear the March RAOTC bulletin and we look forward to hearing your call sign in the call backs afterwards.

73 from Clive VK6CSW.
